hett, wär, chönnt — il congiuntivo è vivo
La regola
Desideri, richieste gentili e tutto ciò che è ipotetico vanno al congiuntivo: hett (avrebbe), wär (sarebbe), chönnt (potrebbe), sött (dovrebbe), wett (vorrebbe) — oppure würd più l'infinito. Spesso si sentono anche con -i: hetti, wäri.
Ich hett gern es Kafi.
Ich hätte gern einen Kaffee.
Chönnted Sie mir hälfe?
Könnten Sie mir helfen?
Ich würd cho, wänn ich Ziit hett.
Ich würde kommen, wenn ich Zeit hätte.
Dove ci si blocca
Una vocale separa «avrebbe» da «ha»: «Er hett Ziit» è «avrebbe tempo», «er hät Ziit» è «ha tempo». E «Ich wett» non è una scommessa (Wette), ma «vorrei».
