The sentence does not survive these

hett, wär, chönnt — the subjunctive is alive

The rule

Wishes, polite requests and anything hypothetical use the subjunctive: hett (would have), wär (would be), chönnt (could), sött (should), wett (would like, wanted) — or würd plus the infinitive. You will often hear them with -i as well: hetti, wäri.

Where it catches you

One vowel separates «would have» from «has»: «Er hett Ziit» is «he would have time», «er hät Ziit» is «he has time». And «Ich wett» is not a bet (German Wette) but «I would like».
